Mwea motivational talks - Part 1

Vice Chairperson - Manasseh Kimachui speaking at Good Samaritan school
This year we have started on a higher note!

On Tuesday 22nd February 2011 was the actual day for us to hold Secondary schools Motivational talks. This was geared towards motivating schools within Mwea. However, due to the large geographic distance of the larger Mwea, we started with Mwea West schools.
We left Nairobi at 7.00am in two matatus with 30 MUCSA members and at Makutano we divided for one group to tackle the upper side and the other to handle the lower side.
The schools visited were:
1. Good Samaritan Secondary School.
2. Ngang'a Secondary School
3. Ndindiruku Secondary School
4. Nyaga Secondary School
5. Kangai Secondary School
6. Kagio Secondary School
7. Kang'aru Secondary School
8. Mutithi Girls Secondary School
The following schools were also targeted but due to some reasons it was not possible;
1. Komboini Secondary School - Were on Mid-term break
2. Mwea Boys High School - were doing their mid term exams
3. Thiba Secondary School - Time factor (Day school)
4. kandongu Secondary School  -Time factor
 5. Nyaikungu Secondary School - Time factor
6. Gitooni Secondary School - Time factor
7. Rukanga Secondary School - Were on Mid-term break

We are in the process of formulating a strategy on how to tackle schools in Mwea East and any suggestion or assistance is highly welcomed.
Finally, the organizing committee thanks all MUCSA members who availed themselves for this noble idea despite having Continuous Assessment Tests (CATs) in our respective colleges as well as the administrations of all the schools that were receptive. Also, we cannot forget our Patron Mr. Josphat Kabinga for the financial support and guidance he has accorded us.
Lets join hands to uplift the education status in our schools - Kama si sisi ni nani? niwewe nawewe nawewe.
Munui speaking at Ndindiruku Secondary

Compiled by,
Kibui Moses
Organizing Secretary.
